On Sunday of our trip, we made the drive to and from Macomb, IL which is located about 4 hours southwest of Cary, where my family lives. We hadn't seen my grandparents in a very long time, so it was important to us to visit them. And the girls got the chance to meet them! The girls did extremely well in the car and thanks to Lauren for sitting in between them and helping out...which made the long trip much easier. On the way back, we tried to stop in
Knoxville, IL to see the house where I lived until I was 7...but very easily got lost and ended up in the middle of nowhere. But otherwise, the trip was great and we enjoyed visited with my grandparents and my uncle Stewart.
