Lunchpie skis in jeans....

The Scheid's Exotic Chickens

Our friends, Nancy and Steve, are building a house on a piece of land that is large enough for a coup and a couple of egg-layers. We had to go and check it out!

Christmas Day Skiing

After we finished opening presents and ate a "real breakfast" as Aaron calls it...we headed up to Purgatory to take a few runs.  Skiing on Christmas Day is great because it isn't a super busy day...right before the holiday masses arrive in town.  This was the first day that Aaron skied with Hannah in the backpack and she LOVED it!   I wish I could have gotten a picture of her facial expression when we loaded the lift the first time.  She even fell asleep in the backpack on the second run.

Emma & Erin
Now - I will admit that I turn into "agro-mom" when I ski with Emma.  I think part of it is because of my job and I am exposed to many of the knuckle-heads that create issues on the mountain.  So needless to say, I totally give anyone that gets within a 50 yard radius of Emma the evil eye...and I'm always worried about her getting hit by someone.  So the video I posted below is funny...because really I probably pose more of a danger to Emma than anyone else!  It's short - and what it doesn't show is that while I was getting the camera ready...I totally ran into Emma while going through one of the "features" of Animas City.  Ooops!

Christmas

Finally, I have gotten our Christmas morning pictures on the blog.  This Christmas was especially fun because Hannah kinda had an idea of what was going on...Although, she did need to take a break to eat a banana (this child LOVES bananas) and didn't finish opening all of her gifts that morning.  And Emma, of course, had a great time!  Our kids (and us, too) are super spoiled!  However, we really enjoyed spending the day together the most.
