Emma's Adventurous Taste in Foods
I would consider ourselves pretty lucky parents because neither of our kids are picky eaters. In fact, it is quite the opposite...especially Emma. She is a big fan of all vegetables and fruits (recently she told us she prefers tomatoes out of the garden or from the farmers...not the ones from the grocery store) and all things wild. Earlier this summer she ate oysters and wanted us to buy more. She would prefer that we dine on crab legs more often than we do. She requested pork chops and artichokes for her birthday dinner. So considering her fine taste in dining, I love this picture of her and Perri eating crawfish. Gross!

Hannah's Birthday - Day 2
With all of the excitement of the birthday and the birthday party, Hannah didn't get to open any of her presents until the next morning. Hannah is still at the stage where the wrapping paper is just as cool as the gifts, but loved ripping open all of the gifts and sitting in the middle of the chaos. Thanks to everyone for sending birthday wishes to Lunchpie!

Our little baby Lunchpie turned 1!! And of course, we like any excuse to have a party...so we invited a handful of friends over (we didn't invite the cops that showed up later though), ate good food, drank cold beer and celebrated with Hannah.
Kendra is one of my very best friends and she was in town from Sacremento for a couple of weeks this summer. Emma wanted to make Hannah's birthday cake with Kendra. So with the help of Kendra, Marci and Silas, Emma made Hannah's personal cake and cupcakes for everyone else. It all turned out great complete with safari animals on each desert.

Pool Party...in the back yard
I am trying to catch up on the blog, so this post is from early July! Yikes! Who doesn't love a pool party? Especially when it is in the back yard, complete with skinny girl margaritas and Perri and Granny! Our girls are such water babies. The worst part about any pool/water adventure is getting them both out of the water.
